Mo Salah RETURNS After Secret Talks: The Truth Behind His Liverpool Fallout and Arne Slot’s Final Decision

Mohamed Salah is finally back in Liverpool’s matchday squad, just days after a dramatic week that shocked the football world. The 33-year-old star had been left out of the Inter Milan game, sparking rumours of a complete breakdown with manager Arne Slot. But now, after urgent talks at the AXA Training Centre on Friday morning, the situation has taken a new turn.

Salah, who has been one of Liverpool’s biggest heroes for years, caused a storm last weekend when he claimed he had been “thrown under the bus” by the club. He was angry about being benched again during the 3-3 draw with Sunderland, and he openly said he had “no relationship” with Slot. Many fans feared it was the beginning of the end, especially with the January transfer window approaching.

But Friday changed everything.

Sources now confirm that Salah and Slot sat down for direct peace talks. The meeting, described as calm but honest, helped clear the air between them. Slot needed this discussion before deciding whether Salah would return to the squad for the Brighton match, and now he has.

The Telegraph confirmed that Salah will be reintegrated immediately. After days of uncertainty, he will travel with the team for the Premier League game against Brighton. For Liverpool fans, this is a huge relief.

Slot explained earlier in the day that he could not make any decision until he spoke to Salah himself. At the Kirby training ground, he shared:

“I will have a conversation with him this morning and the outcome of that conversation will determine how it looks tomorrow.”

He added:

“What I need is a conversation with him and the next time I speak about Mo should be with him and not in here.”

Salah’s return is also extremely important because this weekend’s match will be his last game before he leaves to join Egypt for the Africa Cup of Nations. Slot needs his best players available, especially during a tense moment in the Premier League race.

Despite everything that happened, Liverpool are hoping this marks a new beginning. The club wants calm. Slot wants focus. Salah wants to play. And fans want goals.

Inside the club, people now hope the drama is finished. Salah’s teammates are happy to see him back, and training-ground sources say his energy looked much better after the talk with Slot.

For now, Liverpool supporters can breathe again. Their star man is back. The storm has passed, for the moment.

And all eyes will be on Salah this weekend when he steps onto the pitch one more time before heading to represent his country.

Whatever happens next, this week will be remembered as one of the most dramatic and emotional chapters in the Salah–Liverpool story.
